Arrived Agency Director CIA, General David Petraeus to Istanbul on Sunday in an important visit to Turkey, for the second time in six months for talks with senior Turkish officials on the Syrian crisis, and discuss cooperation in the fight against terrorism, in addition to coordinating regional security.
Petraeus arrived under tight security, and he did not know about the program interviews with senior Turkish officials.
Petraeus's visit comes immediately after directing and Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmed Davutoglu appealed to the countries of the world in a speech at a meeting of the UN Security Council a few days ago to take responsibility in Syrian affairs with the need to create a buffer zone to protect Syrian civilians from combat operations and the ongoing violence in the Syrian cities and towns.
Gen. David Petraeus made his previous visit to Turkey on March 12, which conducted several meetings and talks very secret mission with senior Turkish officials in Syrian affairs and regional security cooperation.
